Iraqi American Union
About
The Iraqi American Union (IAU) was founded to create a safe space for students interested in issues concerning Iraq and for those who want to learn more about this richly-diversified country. It is a space that portrays Iraq through its diversity, rich history, and provides members with the support to thrive at Wayne State University and beyond by promoting academic, cultural, and social activities on campus and at the community level. IAU transcends the ethno-sectarian, religious, linguistic and regional lines by stressing on the national and humanistic bonds that bring all Arabs, Turkmens, Chaldeans, Assyrians, Yezidis, Mandaeans, Shabaks, Jews, Armenians, and Kurds together as Iraqis.
All currently enrolled WSU students are welcome to participate in this organization.
